Home Spun Wool Basket

I just added a new basket to my Etsy shop.  I've got a "thing" about black lately!  This basket is finished using Olde Century Paints - if you've never used them - they are wonderful.

For details you can visit my Etsy shop via the link on the right side of this post.

Your Chance to win a basket

The group that I belong to on Etsy, Primitive and Folk Artists (PAFA) is having a Mother's Day giveaway.  For all the details and to view all the prizes available, click HERE
The basket that I'm giving away is this little peg basket.  The basket is stained with my boiled black walnut dye, wrapped in a piece of torn homespun and accented with a wooden star.

For your chance to win this basket, visit PAFA's blog using the link above.
Good Luck!  ~Ann

My New Favorite Basket

I know, I always say this whenever I make a new basket, but this is my now favorite!

I made a square market basket, stained it and then wrapped the handle with black rug hooking wool.  I whip stitched the wool around the handle so it's tight and won't slide.

Close up of the label...

It's now in my Etsy shop.
