Double Pouch Cherokee Comb Basket

Happy Easter.

Were your Easter Baskets filled?  It's a sad day for my children - they don't have homemade Easter Baskets.....Isn't there a saying about the cobbler's children never having shoes?  I did notice that there wasn't any complaining about the candy in their store bought cheapo plastic baskets!

New today on Etsy - A double pouch Cherokee Comb Basket.
Love the dark brown color, with just a hint of barn red to it.

I've been busy lately making Shaker Cheese Baskets.  These baskets are approximately 15" in diameter and 4" deep.  While I don't have any currently for sale in my Etsy shop, they can be ordered.  Just send me an email or a conversation on Etsy.  $35.00 plus $9.00 shipping.

I've been weaving!

A lull in my Mom schedule gave me the opportunity to weave a little over the weekend.

Painted Market Basket with Wool Label - Smaller Version

Have to share this funny with you - our daughter calls me to her room to look at the "spoiled cat".  Yes, he is spoiled, you can see she's lined the basket with a nice fleece throw to make sure he's comfy.
She's spoiled too - I made this basket for me!  I had felted wool stored in this basket when she commented on it, telling me how much she liked it.  It now resides in spoiled child's room to hold the more spoiled Graybinator.

Happy President's Day!
